Today I went in to the office until 12 then left for Durango in order to miss the scheduled storm through were I was driving. In the few hours I was at the office I designed a new shirt, created an advertisement, and made two more videos for Instagram. My mentor thanked me profusely for all of my help and gave me a goody box full of Tall T products for myself to wear and represent the company. I am very thankful for this opportunity and all of the experiences and skills I gained throughout these three weeks. L.I.N.K. was a great success for me!
Today we started to make short 15 second videos for Instagram designed to be used as small advertising for the products the skiers were wearing. We did this all day and ended up with five or six videos that could be released at various times in order to promote different products.
Today I filmed and photographed a few of the Tall T skiers at Breckenridge and then drove back to Denver at the end of the day and sorted my footage.
Today we began to plan the last week of my internship in order to get the most out of our time together we could. We decided that I was going to film again but this time at Breckenridge with more of the Tall T riders on Tuesday and then make mini edits the rest of the week and maybe design another shirt. We finished up designing the office today and kept it simple for the cutter and now the office looks much more professional and personalized.
Today we started on more vinyl for the office but unfortunately the cuts were too small for their cutter. It took us three massive sheets of vinyl to figure out that this wouldn't work. We tried and tried to make these cuts bigger but no matter what we did it would still mess up somehow. We figured it was time to give up and go home for the day after all of the day was eaten up by this project.
Today we cut the vinyl for the office and began to lay it out. It took us about five tries to get the vinyl placement that we wanted. It is a tedious process but allows for amazing advertising and is aesthetically pleasing. Although this took us most of the day it looks amazing and I am proud of the finished product.
Today I worked in my Illuminati inspired shirt design. I finished this design today and got it approved by the printing people which means that with my developing skills I was able to correctly design and format this design. I was very proud to hear that I did a good job on this design and it may be printed soon! I also began to design the vinyl for the office today using new programs and equipment to do so. I learned a lot through this process and I feel like it is a valuable skill to have.
Today I did not have too much to do in the morning with Tall T so I went in to the office and peeled stickers. This is a job that requires a lot of patience and is very time consuming. It involves picking small pieces of vinyl out of the die cut stickers. I peeled until lunch then I started on a new shirt design inspired by the Illuminati. I made a lot of progress on this design by the end of the day but did not quite finish it.
Today I went in to Tall T with my draft of my video from the weekend ready to go and be shown. I watched the video numerous times with my mentor then we decided it was time to go for the final draft and start from base one again. This went relatively quickly because my previous editing skills helped streamline the process. By the end of the day we had a finished edit that included color correction, 3d motion graphics, and a lot of time mapping and some audio work. I was very proud of this edit and it now has almost 6,000 views. This video is being used as a marketing tool for Tall T.
Today I got to get out on the slopes and film some of the team riders for Tall T. I filmed until about 2 at Keystone than packed up and drove back to Denver. That night I spent two hours editing my clips so I would have a rough draft by the time I went in to Tall T on Monday.
