L.I.N.K. Project
I helped create this video designed to promote Corwdsurf Concert's Trapfest concert series. This project was very high energy and fun. I enjoyed this process and am glad that I got to help Coastless Media with this amazing project!

1. Did not go to college 2. Did not go to college 3. We started printing shirts for ourselves and friends as a hobby and lifestyle. People started noticing them and wanting to purchase them, so it truly grew organically. 4. We've had our fair share of hiccups through this process. Most struggles are human oriented, weather the product was produced wrong or not up to standards. Not all of products are winners, you need to know your audience. 5. We impact the community in a positive way by making the kids and parents smile. 6. All of the projects we put together make us proud. One project will always stand out, and that's when the marketing director of Oakley wanted us to make shirts for the legendary skier Tanner Hall. That was very surreal for us. |
Project Proposal
Coastless Media and Tall T Productions have both accepted me for my L.I.N.K. Internship. Coastless media is a Boulder, Colorado based video production company that specializes in the use of RED cameras. Coastless provides businesses with commercial and promotional videos. Tall T Productions is a clothing and accessory company based in Denver, Colorado. Tall T Productions designs clothing and accessories for action sports oriented people. This is a large community in Colorado so being based in denver they market to these individuals. Both of these companies had different working hours so I could put all of my effort into both with no overlap. Since Coastless is a video production company they do not always have shoots so in my spare time I could work at Tall T with no conflicts.
Coastless Media was founded by Ross Stoner, Ross was my mentor for coastless. I am hoping that Ross can teach me how I can translate my passion for photography and cinematography in to a professional business setting. Tall T Productions was founded by Paul Dowell, Paul was my mentor for Tall T Productions. I am hoping that Paul can teach me how to run and maintain a business with such a small target buying group and show me how my graphic art skills can help a business.
My goals in working with Coastless Media are to improve my skills as a photographer and cinematographer, to learn the basics of running a professional video production service and to become familiar with professional film equipment. While interning with Tall T Productions my goals are to improve my graphic design skill, learn the basics of running a clothing company, and to become familiar with industry marketing techniques.
I have developed specific projects to help me achieve my goals in each of my internships. Since Coastless Media is a video production company I figured it would only be right if I made a video. I decided to make a video that could potentially be used as a promotional video for a company or event. This event happens to be a concert that takes place in denver each year called Trapfest. It is put on by Crowdsurf Concerts and the official film crew is Coastless Media so I had the opportunity to film this event. Making this video would teach me many valuable skills needed to complete any promotional video. These skills will involve camerawork, post production techniques, and marketing techniques. At Tall T Productions my project will be to design a piece or pieces of clothing that are sale worthy and design marketing to promote these products. This will teach me skills in graphic design and marketing. All of the skills that I will learn throughout my internship will be useful to me throughout my life during and after Animas High School.
I have struggled in obtaining these internships but I think the real struggles will be during the internships. There will be many obstacles I will have to overcome throughout my L.I.N.K. experience. I think the main obstacle I will be overcoming is my shy personality. I will meet a lot of new people that could be later connections in life. If I am not able to overcome the barrier of greeting them professionally or bonding with them I will struggle with this problem later in life as well when it is not a “trial” period for me. Other obstacles may be learning difficult skills, acting professional, and handling the stress of working two internships along with many other unforeseen obstacles.
I am very excited for my L.I.N.K. experience. I can’t wait to see what it may be like in the “real” world. Living in the city for three weeks will also be an exciting change for me and I think I will become a more independent person which is a skill I will need for the rest of my life. I think my L.I.N.K. experience will be a great success.
